What does Faith Driven Entrepreneur mean?
The phrase describes a founder whose faith in Jesus shapes how they build: why they start, how they treat people, how they handle money and failure, and what they count as success. FDE's own mission statement puts it this way: "To help Christ-following entrepreneurs (that lead teams) to find their community, understand God's love for them, and their God-given call to create."
The central idea is that entrepreneurship is a calling, not a lesser, "secular" job. Creating a business that brings order out of chaos, solves problems and gives people dignified work is a way of reflecting a creative God. FDE calls this the call to create, and it is the subject of the first session of the Foundation Course.
Who started Faith Driven Entrepreneur?
FDE is part of the Faith Driven Movements, which also include Faith Driven Investor. Henry Kaestner is a co-founder. He co-founded the telecoms company Bandwidth (NASDAQ: BAND), which grew from nothing to more than US$600 million in revenue, and is a co-founder and partner at Sovereign's Capital, which invests in faith-driven founders in the United States and Southeast Asia. The movement's weekly podcast is hosted by Henry with co-hosts including William Norvell and Justin Forman.
Why does FDE exist? The "99.7%" problem
In the book Faith Driven Entrepreneur, the authors estimate that there are about 582 million entrepreneurs in the world and that roughly 180 million of them follow Christ. Very few of those believers are in any community built for their situation. Hence the line on our home page: 99.7% are building alone. Pastors often don't speak the language of payroll and term sheets, and founder networks rarely make room for prayer. FDE exists to close that gap.
FDE also argues that business owners are unusually trusted. Its mission page cites research that business leaders are "9x more trusted than politicians" and "2x more trusted than the church". That trust gives founders an unusual platform for good.
What does FDE offer?
- The Foundation Course. Eight free video sessions, one a week or one a month, for groups of about 10 to 15 founders. FDE says more than 30,000 entrepreneurs from over 130 countries have taken it. See the eight sessions explained.

- The podcast. Weekly conversations with founders. Asian guests include Grab's Anthony Tan and New Taipei Kings owner Phil Chen.
- The conference. A global livestream watched in local watch parties. The 2026 conference streamed on 18 September 2026, and Singapore watched it together on 23 September.

Is FDE a church, a network or an accelerator?
None of those, exactly. FDE is not a church and doesn't replace one. In Singapore, members come from City Harvest, New Creation, Kingdomcity, Methodist, Lutheran, Catholic, Orthodox and independent or house churches. It is not a sales network either: our founding principle is "a genuine community of Christ-following founders, not a business fellowship where everyone quietly sells to everyone else". And it is not an accelerator, though many members have been through accelerators such as DMV Redemptive Labs or Praxis. It is best understood as a peer community built around a shared curriculum.
What does FDE look like in Singapore?
Faith Driven Singapore began on 14 August 2024 at BLOCK71 Singapore. Its founder, Aleks Farseev, had been challenged by Henry Kaestner to plant a chapter (read the story). Since then, three cohorts have worked through the Foundation Course across seven venues, with 22 sessions recorded and posted on YouTube. The chapter has grown to more than 200 members, and it helped start a group in Taipei.
